Last night, Blake had a scrimmage game against an area team. The final score was 16 to 56. Let's just say that the Falcons did not have five tens and six ones on their side of the scoreboard. Blake was super excited b/c he was starting as middle linebacker for the varsity. He is in the tenth grade and found out this week at practice that he was being moved to the varsity team. Last night he found out he was starting. YEAH!! He also got injured last night. I was so worried that it was a major injury, as the trainer said that he "may have" torn his ACL. NOOOOOOO! Today he went to an Ortho, and praise God it is only a very bad sprain. His knee is in a brace and we still ice it like crazy when it starts to swell. He says it feels better than last night, but it still looks ugly to me.
John Ryan running with his bag of "entertainment" to watch his big brother play in his first varsity scrimmage.
Nick with his bag and Pepsi. He likes a Pepsi in the morning like most people like their coffee.
That's my baby in the #8 practice jersey and baggy pants. He had to block this HUGE player (#44) that was known as "The Tank." The Tank rolled over my poor child every single kick-off return. I will give Blake credit; he never backed down. He would go at him every single time and get plowed over every single time. I asked Blake what was he thinking. He said, "Mom, I was just trying to get in his way and slow him down. I figured running over me took about three seconds off his time." LOL!
WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIGHTS!
God's Wednesday Night Lights! Beautiful!!
Not so pretty when our lights were under the heading "Guest". :(
