Let's Play Ball !
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. ~Philippians 2:3 (NIV)
Thursday night found us at the ball field yet again. I don't know if I watched the boys as much as I watched the sky. We had thunderstorm warnings out from 8:00 PM until 4:00 AM. However, the boys were able to finish their little game before the winds picked up and the rain came. We got a very light shower and that was it. It was enough to wash some of the pollen away so I am sure those that suffer from allergies were thankful for the relief.
Here are a few photos of their night on the field.
Nick leaving the field with his snack. He looks like a little ball player to me.
John Ryan getting pointers from the coach.
John Ryan got a hit! Run, Rooster, Run!
Coach was trying to get Nick to plant his feet correctly, but all Nick could think about was swinging the bat.
Blake and the Colonel arriving together. Whew! I think their "brightness level" is definitely a 10!
I can't get over the fact that Blake picked out these glasses. In middle school, he refused to wear glasses. I was forever in the doctor's office picking up contacts. This year he decided that glasses are cool and these are the ones he selected. I howled when he showed me what he wanted. It seems that at his school, these are the "in" glasses. Geez!
John Ryan batting. We still need a lot of practice with form, but the roosters have a good time and do eventually hit the ball.
My big goober!!
This little girl is the cutest thing. She isn't much taller than the tee. She has on her little pink swoosh Nikes, pink and black glove and her pink Hello, Kitty bat. She has her little curly ponytail hanging out the back of her hat and has a blast with the boys. I love to watch her. She is a cutie.
