What I've Learned

"For the protection of wisdom is like the protection of money, and the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of him who has it." --Ecclesiastes 7: 12

Charles Spurgeon said, "Wisdom is the right use of knowledge."  So true.  Knowledge does one no good if it is not used correctly.  So, what did I learn on my first camping trip in a travel trailer?

1.  Attitude is everything.
2.  Weather plays a huge factor in enjoyability of camping. (But doesn't it on any vacation?)
3.  Sleeping in a camper in a rain storm is spa-like relaxing. (See?  Attitude makes a difference, right?)
4.   Kids can make the best of bad situations.  They have that gift.
5.  With six people in a 32 foot long fiberglass can, you need to make sure everyone likes each other.
6.  Some days are just Prozac days.  Other days are double Prozac days.  And still other days are "not enough Prozac made" days. ( Oops, attitude adjustment needed.)
7.  SPF 50 sunscreen really does only work for 80 mins.  Ask me how I know?
8.  You can gain ten pounds in two days in a camper.  Ask me about that one too?
9.  I can live for six days in a bathing suit and cover-up.
10.  Kindles are hard to read by the pool; Not that I got to read with twins in a pool.
11.  Victoria Secret lotion is like silk on skin.  It is THE BEST lotion ever!!
12.  Gas-X is a must when traveling with five males.  Gesh!
13.  Organization is a must when camping.
14.  People in travel trailer parks are so kind and helpful to "newbies."
15.  The beach is still my favorite place on earth.  I LOVE it!!!
16.  A blue lifeguard flag means shark or man-o-war.  No swimming deeper than your waist.
17.  Nick is a risk-taker.  John Ryan is wise.  Blake is hormone-driven.
18.  Blondes really do have more fun!
