Wings Like Eagles

Can you even begin to guess?

Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. ~ Isaiah 40:  28-31

My roosters--I love them.  I really, really do.  However some days all I can do is shake my head and ask "Really?"  The things the two of them decide to do is just beyond my capacity to anticipate.  You would think after 24 years of teaching elementary school I would have some insight into creative thinking.  Um, no.  These two are just going to be the death of me.  I kid you not.  Below is just a sample of what the Roosters can do in...oh...say twenty minutes.

Look at those sweet, innocent smiles.  Are they not just the cutest roosters you've ever seen?  I could just eat them with a spoon most days.  However, today is NOT one of those days.  Why?

Well, the havoc they caused on my patio in less than twenty minutes required two brooms, a dust pan, a thirteen gallon trash can and my oldest Rooster helping to clean-up the mess.  What mess?

Notice anything missing from my patio table?  Look closely because I promise you Windex does not make anything that clear!  Yes, the Plexiglas (or whatever that stuff is called) is missing.  Correction--broken into a million pieces!  The Roosters were using the table for a stage this afternoon and managed to break the tabletop.  I shudder to think at what would have happened if the table had not have shattered completely.  The top broke into tiny pieces and completely fell through with them standing on top of the pile of "stuff."  I opened the door to "I'm sorry!  I'm sorry!  We were just practicing our act."  I just stood there with my mouth open.  I could not believe it.  Then the "glass" starts popping and jumping.  The thought of a spanking totally left them and I heard "Look at the glass jump!  That is so cool!  Isn't this awesome?!"

So, my earnest prayer is:  Lord, please give the strength and wisdom to raise these marvelous creatures you have given to me.
