Thursday night was the South Carolina Gamecocks first game of the season. Before the season even began, Gamecock fans were elated that our beloved team was ranked #6 in the top 10. Whoo-hoo! Thursday night, South Carolina chalked up their first win of the season against UNC. We were all sprawled out in the den watching the game on the Colonel's wall size TV. (I really hate that TV except during football season.)
We all know there is only one true Carolina and that is South Carolina!!
Way to go, Gamecocks!!
After church today we went to Applebee's (again) for lunch. I had steak and shrimp. It was supposed to be a Weight Watcher's meal, but I don't think it was, and if it was, I am sure that plate above would be my total points spent for one day. I guess it is water the rest of the day. NOT!
Nick is just so silly. Blake has the twins addicted to cheese sticks. They love them.
Not sure what Nick's deal is here
And here is my weekly Sunday pose. Gesh! This is one of the I can't tell you how many lace dresses I ordered this season. It is navy with pink as the lining. I ordered a pair of navy shoes online because finding the "perfect" navy is so hard. Those have got to be the worst wearing shoes in my closet. I felt like I had on wooden shoes today at church. There was no flexibility in those things. As soon as I run across another (cheap) pair of navy pumps, those shoes in that photo are going to Goodwill. They are horrid.
On another note, that photo is of a five pounds lighter me! Yeah! Because I am so short and have small bones, any extra weight is very noticeable. I need to get rid of about nine more pounds and then I will be happy.
I don't know what it is about my phone camera, but my hair is not that blond. Maybe it was the way the light was hitting it this AM. Who knows. My hair hasn't been that color since I was five when it was so blond that it looked pink at times. Weird.
If you are a college football fan, I hope your team won this weekend. I hope you'll keep the citizens of Syria in your prayers and our leaders as they face some serious decisions in the days and weeks to come. I pray that God will give them all the wisdom to do HIS will whatever that may be.
"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." ~ John 16: 33
